Servicing (oil boilers) 

Non condensing (old type - roughly pre 2005)

NB Larger boilers (above 36Kw) will usually incur +£10

Boilers above 55kW will be £105

Commercial boiler servicing prices to be discussed depending on type.

Service components:

Each service will use a new nozzle (jet) at £18

Metal braided flexible oil lines have an annual expiry and will be replaced with green rubber ones at £19 (these have a 3 year life).

Most tank filters are nylon and will be cleaned as part of the service, some are a paper element which are an annual replacement - these are appx £8.75

Plus any gaskets/ seals etc we feel are perishing.

Call outs (breakdown and repair)

Like most people, we try to operate Monday - Friday, 9-5 ish. Our call out rates are:

£90.00 + VAT Call Out including the first hour

£70 + VAT per hour thereafter.

Call outs after this time are regarded as Emergency Call outs and will be charged at double the above fees.

If you are having problems with your boiler then please tell us this before booking a 'service'. We cannot service a faulty boiler. In some cases we can complete a service whilst attending a call out but this will be charged as an additional product.

What happens in a service?

  • General inspection of boiler
  • Baffle removal and internal cleaning of main boiler.
  • Removal and inspection of burner.
  • Replacement nozzle
  • Photocell & electrodes checked and cleaned
  • Air intake checked
  • Seals and gaskets checked/ replaced.
  • Flexible oil line checked/ replaced
  • Oil pipework inspected at tank and boiler
  • Oil filter cleaned/ replaced
  • Oil tank inspected as far as possible
  • Flue gasses analysed
  • OFTEC service sheet completed, copy left with you.

Charities I support - and you could help with...

While driving around peoples houses every day, I collect old tools for TSFR, for more details click the logo. It doesnt matter what condition these are in as if beyond use, they will be sold for scrap to pay towards fuel for the project, if useable they will be reconditioned and put into prescribed tool kits.
